Polish Pilgrimage to Shrines and Historic Tour of Krakow

This pilgrimage will be along the same lines as the one planned for May 2010 that had to be postponed due to the volcanic ash cloud.
The costs of the pilgrimage will be kept similar to the previous one – about £550-£600
This trip is a pilgrimage but it is also an interesting visit to Poland, spending three nights in a Benedictine Guest House and three nights in a hostel in Krakow’s city centre, accompanied by English speaking Polish guides along the way.
Another important note is that during our visit, we will meet Fr. Swider, one of the first Polish Priests to be resident in Inverness. We will be guests, for a day, in his Parish.
Some parts of this holiday-pilgrimage will be continuing the theme of the original tour – “In the footsteps of John Paul II”.
The Programme will include:
* Residence and Tour of Krakow’s city centre.
* Wadowice – the birthplace of John Paul II
* The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa
* The Divine Mercy Shrine, Relics of St. Faustina
* The former World War II Concentration Camps at Auschwitz & Birkenau
* The Kalwaria
Zebrzydowska Sanctuary - a Franciscan Shrine associated with John Paul II
* The Underground Salt Mine in Wieliczka, with Mass in Underground Chapel
* Guided Tour around Tyniec Abbey
* Free Leisure Time to go sightseeing
