Baskets are available at St Mary’s and St Columba’s for anyone wishing to contribute towards a collection for a presentation to both our retiring Bishop Peter and our Bishop Elect;

Please place your contribution in an envelope and clearly mark who the donation is for.

 

The Episcopal Ordination of our new bishop (Abbot Hugh Gilbert OSB, Pluscarden Abbey) will take place in St Mary’s Cathedral, Aberdeen on Monday 15 August at 12 noon, followed by a reception at the Beach Ballroom from 2.30-3.30pm.

If you wish a ticket please contact the parish office or any member of the clergy as soon as possible; a coach will be available (full details next week)

 

SINGING THE MASS : a day for everyone at Pluscarden Abbey on Saturday 27 August from 11.00 am to 3.30 pm (a light lunch and teas will be provided) This singing workshop is open to anyone interested in learning a musical setting for the new English translation of the Mass. For the past fourteen years a small group of pilgrims have visited St Mary’s as it is on the route forming the Cross over the land. The aim is for people to walk, in reparation for abortion, between two Catholic Churches on the 15^th-17^th August.
